NSBEWelcome to the Concordia chapter of NSBE, the National Society of Black Engineers! We are one of hundreds of chapters spread across North America and abroad. Our mission is to increase the number of culturally responsible black engineers who excel academically, succeed professionally, and positively impact the community. We pursue this goal in several ways — by hosting final exam tutorials for specific courses, by making our membership aware of scholarships available to them (through NSBE or elsewhere), by encouraging them to attend the myriad of workshops given at conferences and at the national convention, and by getting them involved in Concordia’s student life and in their own communities.

NSBE Concordia’s focus is to help with the academic and professional success of engineering students. We are open to students of all backgrounds and lines of study. Read up on NSBE’s history, meet our executive team, stay up-to-date on our events and find us on Facebook. Do not hesitate to contact us for more information on our activities, our sponsorship packages, or to share your comments.

NSBE’s structure

The main organization, headquartered in Virginia, U.S.A., is divided into six regions. Each region is in turn divided into zones. NSBE Concordia is a part of the Canada Zone, which belongs to region 1, also known as region first. NSBE’s structure is described in more detail on the national website. We are also a part of the Engineering and Computer Science Association of Concordia, or ECA for short.
